Refund Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, changes, and refunds are handled for trips booked with wndr. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Travel involves real commitments to local partners — hotels reserve rooms, drivers block calendars, guides decline other work to host you. Our policy reflects what those partners require from us once your trip is confirmed.

1. Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total trip price is required to confirm your booking, unless your proposal states otherwise. The deposit secures your dates with our local partners and covers the planning work that begins immediately on confirmation.

2. Final balance

The balance of your trip is due 45 days before your arrival date. Bookings made within 45 days of arrival require full payment at the time of confirmation.

If we have not received the balance by the due date, we may treat your booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation schedule below.

3. Cancellation by you

If you cancel your trip, the following schedule applies based on the date we receive your written cancellation notice (email is acceptable):

Notice before arrivalRefund of trip price
60 days or moreFull refund, less the 30% deposit
45–59 days50% refund
30–44 days25% refund
Fewer than 30 daysNo refund
No-show on arrival dayNo refund

Where a refund is due, it covers the wndr trip price only. Third-party fees that have already been incurred on your behalf — flights, visas, certain non-refundable hotel rates, prepaid activities — are excluded from the refund and will be itemized in your cancellation statement.

4. Changing your trip dates

You may request a date change once at no fee, subject to availability and any supplier price differences, provided your request is made at least 45 days before your original arrival date. Subsequent changes, or changes within 45 days of arrival, will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.

5. Cancellation by wndr

If wndr cancels a confirmed trip for reasons within our control, you will receive:

We are not liable for non-refundable third-party costs that fall outside our trip price (for example, flights you booked directly).

6. Force majeure

If a trip cannot proceed safely or lawfully because of an event beyond reasonable control — including severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, civil unrest, government restrictions, terrorism, war, or major supplier failure — we will:

In force majeure scenarios, certain supplier costs may be non-recoverable. We will be transparent about what we can and cannot recover, and will pass through any recovered amounts to you.

7. In-trip changes

If you choose to leave a trip early, skip an included activity, or downgrade an arranged service after your trip has started, those amounts are non-refundable. Your guide or host can help you adjust the experience where possible.

8. Refund processing

9. Travel insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical, and emergency evacuation coverage. Insurance can protect you against costs that fall outside this Refund Policy, including illness, family emergencies, missed flights, and lost belongings.

10. Disputes

If you believe a refund decision is incorrect, contact us within 30 days of receiving the cancellation statement. We will review your case and respond within 14 business days.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The version that applies to your trip is the version in effect on the date your booking was confirmed.
